SOCIAL 8 MEMBER AGREEMENT
This is a legal agreement (“agreement”) between you and Social8.
Please read the agreement carefully before registering for the Social8 service. By registering for Social8 to become a member (“member”) of the service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms of this agreement and agree that you are legally capable of entering into this agreement and are bound by its terms. These terms apply also to Social8 Introductions.
What is Social8?
Social8 offers a membership based program inviting members to dinners, group events and introductions.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. This service is for adults only. To register as a member of Social8 you must be at least eighteen (18) years old. When you register and from time to time thereafter, Social8 may require that you provide sufficient information to satisfy that you are at least eighteen (18) years old. By becoming a member you represent a warrant that you are at least eighteen (18) years old.
2. We reserve the right at any time to do the following :-
2.1 Vary the Terms & Conditions of this agreement.
2.2 Vary the services offered by Social8 and change any fees or charges from time to time.
Any changes we make will be effective immediately upon notice, which we may provide to you by any means, including and without limitation, posting on our website.
3. Social8 may revoke the membership granted to you at any time for any reason whatsoever and reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your access to the service, without notice, upon any breach of this agreement by you which is brought to our attention.
4. Member Registration
4.1 To apply to become a member of Social8 you must register on our website.
4.2 When you register to become a member you agree :-
4.2.1 to provide accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by the registration form and at the subsequent interview;
4.2.2 that we may rely on your registration to be accurate, current and complete.
4.3 Social8 is committed to maintaining the privacy of our members and further information regarding the collection and use of your personal information can be found in our Privacy Statement.
4.4 The restrictions on becoming a member of Social8 are disclosed below.
4.4.1 you may not join this service if you are a director, shareholder or employee of a dating or contact–related website or business, or a direct relative who is a
shareholder, or employee of a dating or contact related service;
4.4.2 you may not join this service if you have ever been convicted of a sexually related offence
4.4.3 you may not join this service if you are a minor
4.4.4 Social8 reserves the right to refuse membership at our sole discretion without providing any notice or reason whatsoever.
5. Interview
5.1 Once you have registered your interest to become a member of Social8 on our website, we will contact you to arrange a time to meet with one of our employees for an interview.
5.2 The purpose of the interview is to explain the service in more detail and to obtain further information about you in order to assist us in planning event and introductions for people. You are required to allow a photograph to be taken at this interview to complete your application.
5.3 We will subsequently contact you, if your application is successful.
6. Event Attendance
6.1 If, after the preliminary interview you are offered membership with Social8, you will receive invitations to attend Social8 events and dinners together with introductions if you have joined the introductory service.
6.2 By accepting our invitation and attending at those events and/or introductions, you agree to follow the rules explained in the terms of this agreement.
6.3 You agree to pay Social8 a membership. Costs of dinners and functions will be provided when you receive the invitations to these dinners or functions. The costs of any drinks or any food not listed on the menu provided to you at the Dinner or event, is your cost and is not paid by Social8.
6.4 Social8 does not warrant or guarantee the number of introductions, dinners or events that we will invite you to.
6.5 Should you book into and not arrive at three events and/or dinners, your membership may be terminated.
7. One on One Introductions
7.1 Clients registering for one on one introductions, agree that some details of their profile will be given or emailed to clients for the purpose of introductions.

8. Follow Up
8.1 Dinners: You will be asked to provide feedback from the dinners and to advise our staff if you wish to nominate any person from the dinner that you wish to contact.
8.2 If a person you nominate also indicates that they would like to contact you after the event, we will provide the nominated contact details for you.
8.3 At the dinners, only your first name is written on the place cards at the table. However, if it is necessary to distinguish you from someone else with the same first name, we will include the first letter of your last name.
9. Membership Cancellation
9.1 You can cancel your membership by contacting us by email.
10. Cooling Off Period
10.1 All levels of Social8 memberships come with a cooling off period of five (5) working days during which time a full refund is available, should you decided to withdraw your application for membership.

11. Membership Suspensions
11.1 You may elect to suspend your membership at any time (and for any number of times) during the period you are a member. Memberships must be suspended for at least 14 continuous days before being unsuspended, and must be unsuspended for at least 14 continuous days before being suspended. Six month memberships may be put on hold for up to 6 months (total), and 12 month memberships may be put on hold for up to 12 months (total). After that period, the membership will expire.

12 Code of Conduct. As a member you agree to the following terms :
12.1 With the exception of contact you make with a Social8 member with whom you have nominated and who agreed to the release of their contact details through email or by phone number provided, you will not directly or indirectly contact other Social8 members without their invitation or consent.
12.2 You will not, when corresponding with other members, make any defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, obscene, profane, sexually offensive, threatening, harassing or racially offensive comments.
12.3 You will use the Social8 service in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations. You will not, when corresponding with other members, make or include in your emails any negative anatomical or sexual references, or offensive sexually suggestive or commentive language, and you will not transmit any photos containing nudity or personal information. Social8 reserves the right to cancel the membership of any member that does not comply with these prohibitions.
12.4 You will not engage in, advertise to, or solicitation of, other members to buy or sell any products or services through the service. You will not transmit any chain letters or junk emails to any other Social8 members.
12.5 You are solely responsible for your interactions with other Social8 members. Social8 reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor disputes between you and other members. Any interaction may lead to legal remedy on behalf of Social8.
12.6 You will treat email and other information on this service as private and will not forward the person information without the permission of the publisher of that information.
12.7 You will not transmit by email to any other member any information containing content that is libellous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic or otherwise violates any law.
12.8 You will assume full responsibility for all fees and charges associated with your membership.
12.9 You will not harass other members or continually attempt to communicate with someone who has clearly asked you to cease communication. You are responsible for ensuring that your behaviour with other members is lawful and complies with all applicable laws. To the extent that you do not comply with all applicable laws or any clause of this agreement, you release and discharge Social8 from all rights, claims, actions, suits, proceedings and claims which, but for this clause, you may have had against Social8.
13. Liability and Indemnity
13.1 Social8 provides the Social8 service on an “as is” basis and grants no warranties of any kind, express, implied, statutory, in any communication with
Social8 or its representatives, or otherwise with respect to the service. Social8 specifically disclaims any implied warranties of merchantabiity, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Social8 does not warrant that your use of the Social8 service will be secure or meet your requirements, or that any defects in the service will be remedied.
13.2 In addition, Social8 disclaims all liability, regardless of the form of action, for the acts or omissions of other members or users of the service.
13.3 You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Social8, its officers, directors, employees, agents and third parties for any loss, damage or liability (including legal fees) relating to, or arising out of, your use of the service, including any breach by you of the terms of this agreement.
13.4 Social8 is not responsible for ensuring that members adhere to these terms, notwithstanding these terms outline behaviour that is unacceptable when participating in the service and under no circumstances is Social8 liable to any member for any incident, consequential or indirect damages arising out of the use of the Social8 service.
13.5 In addition, Social8 disclaims all liability to the full extent permitted by law, regardless of the form of action, for the acts or omissions of other members or users.
13.6 In the event that you have a conflict with a member, to the extent permitted by law, you hereby release Social8 and our agents and employees from any claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind of nature, known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, arising out of or in any way connected with such conflict.
14. Proprietary Rights
14.1 Social8 owns and retains the proprietary rights in this Social8 service. The service contains the copyrighted material, trade marks and other proprietary information of Social8.
15. Information Supplied by Member
15.1 Social8 will keep confidential all information supplied by you to us and shall use or disclose such information only for the purposes for which such information was collected or as required by law.

16. Complaints
16.1 To resolve a complaint regarding the Social8 service, you should first contact Social8 by email, phone or SMS.
17. General Provisions
17.1 You agree that the laws of South Australia govern this agreement, and that any dispute arising out of, or in relation to, this agreement, shall be subject to the Federal and State courts in South Australia. This agreement, accepted upon paying your registration fee, contains the entire agreement between you and Social8. The terms will survive termination of your membership to the service. If any provision of this agreement is held invalid, the remainder of this agreement shall continue in full force and effect.
17.2 Any provision of these Terms and Conditions which is prohibited or unenforceable will be ineffective to the extent of the prohibition of unenforceability but that will not invalidate the remaining provisions of that transaction document or affect the provision in any other jurisdiction.
