POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE - A Night of Connections

URGENT UPDATE >>> Our event this Friday night is being postponed as we had originally booked for 80 people and now, due to the social distancing measures are only able to have 22 attend. So we shall reschedule this event as soon as restrictions ease up. Those who have purchased a ticket will have a $20 credit on file to be used for any future event. After my recent blog about the power of positivity and a huge response from you all, we are setting the intention for our next Social mixer to be ‘A Night of Connections’  This event is perfect for you if you like the idea of being around positive people. If you are kind, warm and welcoming/receptive to new people. And if you are open to chatting with lots of different people in one night. (I know this may intimidate some people however please read on). To help this along, we are providing some fun conversations starters and an interactive Mix and Mingle games ensuring you will have an easy time approaching and chatting with at least a dozen people during the night. Please note, the participation in the Mix and Mingle game is voluntary so if you find yourself in a deep conversation with someone, you can stop playing the game at any point.   For those who are more introverted and perhaps nervous about approaching people, this night will be perfect for you. We have created this event with the desire to have each of you going home feeling uplifted by the experience.   And if each person attending sets their intention to ‘looking forward to connecting with interesting people and having fun’, then we are going to have a wonderful night. I have held these nights years ago and they work brilliantly, well statistically for 97% of attendees anyway 😊   I have chosen a venue that we know well with a large balcony to enable guests to move around and chat with lots of people. I have engaged as many event hosts as possible to ensure each of you are supported should you need and have chosen to not have any music to keep the our space from not being too loud for good conversations. There will be scattered seating and tables on the balcony with free standing heaters and we can close the cafe blinds if it’s still too cold. The bar is open for individual purchases and for those who prefer to not be around high levels of alcohol, typically these nights are more about good conversations than big drinking. That said, some will likely kick on into the small hours of the night, however the interactive part will run for the first few hours.   We have opened this event up to all members, friends and non members as we really want to support people to have a great night of positive connection and hope for a large crowd. We are restricted to 80 guests however restrictions may ease even more approaching this event providing us the opportunity to release a further tickets. We have separated these 80 tickets into Male and female in our best attempts to maintain gender balance so please select either male or female when purchasing your ticket(s). So, please book in ASAP and help us by bringing along a single friend or sharing this event with your networks. Together we can create the type of social connection we are all desiring!  Please note: There are a set of rather steep stairs to access the Maxwell Cooper Room and unfortunately there is no wheelchair access to the area.  Any questions, please email us at social8@social8.com.au
